I was going to start this out with a bit of life drawing at Spring Street Studio, but it ends up they're closed for the next week or two for repairs. So I sketched around in a friend's kitchen instead.

I dropped by Patrick's yesterday, to keep'em company for a few hours while he finished up some custom toys. I was sketching around, working from a skater magazine and an anatomy book. This is the result.

Remembering Aviva Stone

Aviva Stone (1948-2007) was a popular figure model in NYC and she is being remembered by Spring Studio with a group exhibition of paintings and drawings of her by the artists she has worked with. My drawing above, done just a few months before her passing, will be included in the show. There will also be a memorial for Aviva on the 28th.

Here is a sketch for a project long procrastinated. I'm  waiting on approval on these and revisions are likely. However, I am very excited about this project and will have more to share once it gets going.
